The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Estate and Gardens (Lenox, MA)
Wharton built the mount in 1902 based on the principles in her book The decoration of houses. The 113 acre farm land holds quite a few buildings and restored gardens. You can take guided tours through the Estate and Gardens, check out the exhibits or even stop by for one of the many events going on throughout the year.
